"You walk into a room, and your mood shifts. In one group, you are wise, funny, energized. In another: timid, dull, cranky. A library, full of quiet intensity, turns you into a scholar. Individually, the members of the trio hist og have played on countless records, with countless musicians of countless genres. hist og was founded in 2017 to compose and perform new music for Sigur Rós’ Norður og Niður festival. Its members are Eiríkur Orri Ólafsson on trumpet, keyboards and electronics, Róberta Andersen on guitar and Magnús Trygvason Eliassen on drums.
